Account and discipline leadership at the flagship office of the renowned marketing agency. Managing activities, operations, teams, relationships and P&L’s for accounts such as J.P. Morgan Chase, ESPN, E*TRADE, PwC, Mercedes-Benz USA, ESPN, and Jet.com across advertising, digital and social marketing, brand and business consulting, media, marketing and product innovation, B2B and internal communication efforts. 

 

  • J.P. MORGAN CHASE - Digital Marketing, Experience and Product Innovation: Developed new-to-market site experiences, advancing Chase’s efforts to improve consumers’ financial health and drive acquisition. Collaborated with client-side product owners to create new in-app services and features designed to improve visibility and financial habits for customers, deepening their engagement with the bank. Created the inaugural site and cross-brand web presence for J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, the firm’s new brand, uniting their online and offline offerings across multiple lines of business.

  • MERCEDES-BENZ USA - Social and Digital Marketing: Grew the brand’s social following by +15%, outpacing all competitors, and catapulted the brand from #91 to #44 on Moosylvania’s “2018 Brands Millennials Love” rankings. Achieved 5x industry benchmark for display ad performance, increased purchase intent by +114% and site visits by +62% for critical annual sales events.

  • NBA on ESPN - Advertising: Re-directed tune-in efforts toward digital-first fandom and the emerging “game-around-the-game” consumption behaviors of “The Four Minute Fan.” Results impacted the entire offering; target viewership increased +18 minutes per game, web and app engagement improved +12% in total minutes spent and +192% in video starts, and terrestrial ratings for ESPN overtook key competitor TNT for the first time in nearly a decade.

  • E*TRADE - Brand Identity, Advertising and Site Design: Improved account growth +4%, net new assets +11%, and reduced CPA -12%, with an ad spend 300% less than key competitors.

  • JET.COM - Brand and Promotional Advertising: Successfully launched and grew a net-new D2C retail brand that broke digital marketing barriers. In under two years, Jet acquired over 7M customers, reached $1.3B GMV, and was acquired by Walmart for $3.3B.

  • KINESSO AND MATTERKIND - Brand Strategy, Identity and Web: Led an R/GA team to define and launch two new IPG agency offerings, developing their brand strategies, visual and verbal identities, company names, and launch sites.

  • Generated millions of dollars of net-new, sustaining client business via relationships at
    J.P. Morgan Chase, Coty and WordPress. Re-set the mission and role of the agency's Client Services department.

  • Efforts recognized with Cannes Lion Grand Prix and Facebook Awards (Jet.com), Ogilvy and Chiat Planning Awards (NBA on ESPN), FCS Awards (E*TRADE), and MediaPost Digital Agency of the Year (Mercedes-Benz) .

International Integrated Marketing Program Lead (June 2013 - May 2014)

At the request of Kimberly-Clark International's marketing leadership, returned to JWT in a consulting role to stabilize the client-agency relationship across key geographies of the global account. 

 

  • Trained client and agency staff, and informed the marketing efforts of agency teams in North and South  America, Asia, and Australia, in the service of KCI's Family Care division, improving the agency’s creative strike rate and achieving operational efficiencies by +10%.

Served as an independent consultant to agency leaders, providing guidance on business practices, branding, and communication strategies.

 

  • THE CONCEPT FARM: Established the foundations for the independent agency’s Account Management practice, defining principles and training leadership and staff in the discipline.

SVP, Group Account Director (January 2012 - May 2013)

Recruited by the agency president to lead Translation’s largest-ever account - Bud Light, the nation's leading beer brand.

 

  • BUD LIGHT MEGA-BRAND: Developed new brand architecture and audience-focused strategy for the Bud Light mega-brand. Oversaw all advertising, social marketing, on- and off-premise programs across the portfolio, and grew account revenue by +40%.

  • BUD LIGHT PLATINUM & LIME-A-RITA BRANDS: Launched the Bud Light Platinum and Lime-A-Rita brands, two of AB-InBev's most successful product introductions in decades, exceeding sales goals by +100%.

Business Director  (June 2003 - December 2011)

Rose through the ranks of Account Management at the historic ad agency during one of its finest, most creatively-energized periods, winning new business, running key accounts, and helping to merge the agency's CRM arm, RMG/Connect, into the main agency offering. 

 

  • KLEENEX (NA Business Director, 2009-2011): Led the efforts of an integrated team of WPP agencies for the iconic facial tissue brand, reversing a ten-year sales and share decline, netting an Effie award, turning around the client's rating of the agency from next-to-lowest to highest in the network, and growing agency revenue by +25%.

  • ROYAL CARIBBEAN (International Business Director, 2007-2010): Ran a multi-disciplinary agency team for the cruise line’s brand, retail, and B2B efforts, launching their partnership with DreamWorks, introducing the largest-ever cruise ship in the world, and surpassing their main competitor (Carnival) with all-time highs in ad and brand awareness. 

  • HSBC (Account Director, 2004-2007): Re-launched the brand in the US in 2005, laying the strategic groundwork for the globally-pervasive "Points of View" campaign. Led brand, retail, and SME campaign development, winning the first-ever Green Effie for the "No Small Change" campaign and realizing historic account opening and AUM highs for the US bank.

  • SMIRNOFF (Management Supervisor, 2003-2004): Responsible for advertising on the parent brand and flavor variants for the best-selling vodka in the US.

Got my Advertising 101 education at Paper Magazine's favorite downtown boutique agency. 

 

  • Developed Bombay Sapphire gin's long-standing "Inspired By" campaign in print and on TV, shepherded Godiva Chocolatier's first new campaign in a decade, oversaw all advertising efforts for NFL SUNDAY TICKET and introduced the country to Electrasol Tabs, the first-ever dishwashing detergent tablet.
